A Walker’s Creed

God came walking through the garden in the cool of the day and spoke to his first listeners. I will walk, because he first walked. I will listen for his voice.

Enoch walked faithfully with God, until God whisked him away.

I will walk away from death and into the whirlwind of God.

Noah walked humbly with God, and God had him build a very big boat.

If God asks me to build something that’s never been built before, I will do it.

Abram walked the length and breadth of the land of promise and was granted a home there.

I will walk in the direction of my heavenly home.

Pharaoh’s daughter walked along the riverbank and fished out a very special child in a basket.

I will be alert for hidden gifts as I walk.

The one who is blessed does not walk with the wicked, even when entering the valley of the shadow.

I will walk away from evil companions.

If I walk blamelessly, the Lord promises he will be my shield.

I will walk among the blameless.

Isaiah saw that those walking in darkness would see a great lightHe saw a highway of holiness.

I will walk out of darkness and into the lightI will find the holy highway and stay on it.

Those who wait upon the Lord walk and never faint.

I will keep walking with him and not quit.

There was a fourth man walking through the fire.

If I must walk through fire, I will not be afraid, because he is in the fire with me.

Jesus walked by the sea and found disciples.

I will be one of those who meets him and leaves all to walk with him.

He walked upon the sea.

I will go to him when he bids me to walk upon the water.

Two disciples suddenly encountered the risen Lord as they walked the road.

I will walk and break bread with him as he teaches me all about himself.

He tells me to stand at the crossroads and look for the ancient paths.

I will ask him to lead me to the good way, and I will walk in that way.

He has shown me what he requires.

I will act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with my God.

Christ has shown us the way of love.

I will walk in the way of love he has shown.

He is in the light.

I will walk in the light.
